My name is Israel Piña.
I currently work as a Network Administrator at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
I enjoy photography as a side business and a hobby.
I volunteer my time at VOUS Church in South, FL. I take many of the pictures that appear in the churches official Instagram account and YouTube account. As well as the lead pastors official Instagram accounts.
How did I start in photography?
My grandfather handed me my first film camera at the age of 6 years old. I give my grandfather all the credit for introducing photography to me. He was a professional photographer in Cuba. He was the first photographer in Cuba to introduce color film photography. He traveled all over Cuba taking pictures for the yearbook pictures of every school. He developed the film as well at his house at the time. My grandfather also had a photography studio in Miami, FL for many years.
My Education:
From 2013-2015 I attended Miami Dade College for Film/TV Production & Information Technology. I was a dual major undergraduate student. I graduated from MDC with an Associates in Arts in IT and a Minor in Film/TV Production in December of 2015. I took several classes at MDC, including Film Production, Video Editing (Final Cut Pro & Adobe Premiere), Color Correction, Photography/Video Lighting and Photography Editing (Adobe Photoshop & Adobe Lightroom).
I also finished by Bachelors of Science in Information Technology in 2018 from Florida International University.
I’m currently a graduate student at FIU again for my Masters in Cybersecurity with an expected graduation year of 2024.
